J&K: MeT: September 2-3 is predicted to have significant rainfall and flash floods.
September 1, Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir residents and visitors are advised to prepare for considerable weather variations this week, according to a major weather statement issued by the Meteorological Centre, Srinagar.
The meteorological department’s forecast, as reported by the news outlet, states that September 1st would primarily be dry, while September 2–3 may bring a strong bout of bad weather.
The two days are expected to be mostly cloudy with sporadic mild to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms in several areas, according to the MET Center.
From late September 2 until the afternoon of September 3, the weather is probably going to get stronger. It is quite probable to experience isolated periods of intense rain, which might cause mudslides, flash floods, landslides, and shooting stones over susceptible areas.
Authorities have issued warnings regarding the potential for flash floods as well as an increase in water levels in nearby streams, flood channels, and low-lying areas, which might lead to waterlogging.
